Impact Leader – Full Time

Role:

Impact Leaders serve as life and instructional coaches for male educators of color in Profound Gentlemen. Each Impact Leader supports a regional cohort of Gentlemen to grow in PG’s three focus areas: character development, content development, and community leadership. They accomplish this by hosting professional development retreats, conference opportunities, and conducting one on ones with Gentlemen.

 

Who We Are:

Profound Gentlemen’s mission is to a build community of male educators of color who provide a profound additional impact on boys of color. Our vision is to retain educators who dismantle the cradle to prison pipeline by establishing a cradle to career pipeline for boys of color. Founded by two educators who believe that if we retain and develop male educators of color then boys of color will have increased opportunities to experience educators who mirror success and achieve a cradle to career pipeline.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

One on Ones and Personal Development (50%)

– Establish strong relationships with male educators of color in your cohort

– Support and develop 25-30 regional Gentlemen through our Impact Plan Model

– Utilize life coaching and instructional skills to meet individual needs of Gentlemen

Programming (40%)

– Co-Lead and manage continual development that Gentlemen learn during retreats – Serve as an organization liaison at conferences and sponsored events

– Utilize data to measure outcomes and impact on Gentlemen’s success

Community (10%)

– Collaborate with the Impact Team to establish culture and implement major PG programming

– Serve as a PG Representative to help secure network and pipeline partners

 

Requirements:

Prior Experience

– 3+ years of professional experience required – Experience in the areas of education, communications, and coaching highly preferred

 

Skills:

– Superb organization, detail-orientation, and project management and execution skills

– Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment

– Ability to create strong and compelling written communication materials

– Proven ability to build and leverage relationships

– Exceptional customer service ethic – Comfort and strength in verbal communication skills, especially over 1:1 or group conversations

– Embody our PG Core Values

 

Work Demands: – Some weekend and evening work required

– Some travel to other Profound Gentlemen regional sites may be required
